Pivot House ("we," "us," or "our") operates pivothouse.io and all associated games and services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly when you:

• Sign in using Google Authentication — we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from Google
• Opt in to marketing communications — we store your email address and consent record
• Enter a contest or bounty program — we may collect additional verification information as required by the applicable Contest Rules
• Contact us — we receive any information you include in your message

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we automatically collect:

• Device information — device type, operating system, browser type and version
• Sensor data — gyroscope and motion data used to power game mechanics; this data is processed locally and is not stored on our servers
• Usage data — game sessions, levels reached, scores, and in-game actions
• Log data — IP address, access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs
• Cookies and similar technologies — session identifiers and preference data (see Section 6)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We receive information from the following third-party services:

• Google — authentication data when you sign in with your Google account, subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Supabase — our backend database provider, which stores account and gameplay data on our behalf
• Ad networks — advertising partners such as AdinPlay and AppLixir may collect data in connection with ads served within our games, subject to their own privacy policies

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• Process and verify contest or bounty entries and award prizes
• Send transactional communications such as account notices and contest notifications
• Send marketing communications, if you have opted in
• Serve and measure advertising within our games
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations
• Analyze how the Services are used to improve gameplay and user experience

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to provide you with the Services and fulfill contest obligations
• Legitimate interests — to improve the Services, prevent fraud, and ensure security
• Consent — for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time
• Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — we share data with trusted vendors who help us operate the Services, including Supabase (database), Google (authentication), and advertising network partners. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• Contest administration — if you win a prize, we may need to share your information with payment processors or charitable organizations as necessary to fulfill the award
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pivot House, our users, or the public
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Services are used.

• Essential cookies — required for the Services to function, such as authentication session cookies
• Analytics cookies — help us understand how users interact with the Services
• Advertising cookies — placed by our ad network partners to serve and measure relevant ads

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and access controls on our backend systems.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Google account.

Pivot House is based in New York, United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

By using the Services, you consent to this transfer. Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notice to the email address associated with your account.
